"Minecraft" for Windows 10 and Pocket Edition have been updated today with patch 1.03. The new update will bring new features, improvements and hotfix for known issues in the game.
On Feb. 9, Mojang announced the 1.0.3 update called Candy Texture Pack. As its name suggest, the game will have candies, lots of them, throughout the "Minecraft" world. The sweet-themed textures are now out for only $2.99 as an in-app purchase.
The timing of the update's release just fits so well with the upcoming Valentine's Day, but it should be noted that this is not an event related to the day of hearts. In the same post of the announcement, Mojang explained about the Candy Pack update will change the textures with "sweet new treats."
Likewise, "Minecraft" just got sweeter with velvet cake cows, starlight mint skeletons, jelly creepers, lollipops and more, surrounding the environment while gamers play. The Candy Texture Pack allow gamers to build their blocks into something that looks like the "Hansel and Gretel" house or even Willy Wonka's factory due to the colorful, sweet-filled world.
In any case, since the "Minecraft" 1.0.3 update also comes with fixes, here are some improvements to look forward to: textures of flower and mushroom blocks have been tweaked, issues with textures has been addressed, and Realm crashes when player exit and starts server have been fixed.
Also, the update fixed an issue that caused pressure plates, buttons, and other Redstone items to become stuck, fixed a crash when using some items and tweaked spawn point selection to be "smarter." Players can check out the complete list of changelog on "Minecraft" website.
The "Minecraft" Pocket Edition is now available for download on Android, iOS, Windows and Amazon Fire smart devices. Get it at Google Play and iTunes. Meanwhile, for players who do not have the game yet, the Windows 10 Edition is currently being sold at $17 off so it can be bought for only $9.99 today.
