Jason Derulo lashed out on American Airlines claiming he is a victim of racial discrimination, along with his staff - after a dispute on their baggage fees.

UPI reports Derulo sharing his side which included the performer exiting from a departing plane after he found out that the airline will be charging him $4,000 to check-in some of his bags when a friend was left to look after his luggage. The group arrived late for their Miami to Los Angeles flight. Derulo said: "We had never paid for our bags before and with all the miles and our status, we never pay for them. $4,000 is just a huge sum so we are not going to pay that."

Because of that, the captain of the plane, according to his account, started to berate them and they were met by fifteen police officers as they disembarked. He said the plane's captain began berating the group and he was met by 15 police officers once they disembarked. He denies cursing back at them since he was surrounded by the police. What he did was to pick up his phone and went live on Instagram instead. When people learned he was actually Jason Derulo, things changed and all of a sudden they were off the hook.

He shared the story on Instagram telling American Airlines they have spent millions on their airlines for the past ten years and that he was not expecting to experience racial discrimination. However, according to reports from TMZ, an American Airlines employee approached the police officers and said Derulo and his crew all smelled of marijuana and became aggressive for a while.

Here is a video that explains everything that transpired at the airport. So, is Jason Derulo telling the truth, or are they all lies to preserve his image?
