Lexibook, the French educational tablet maker, recently announced the official launch of its new educational tablets for kids. The tablet will be available in the U.S. from Sept. 5 onwards. A preview launch will be held at Toys' R Us stores across the country giving an opportunity to parents to discover the tablets.

Similar to the Lexibook First, the new range of tablets are expected to pack a 600MHz processor with 256MB of RAM. An on-board 4GB storage, expandable to 16GB with an microSD card, will be on offer to the users. The tablets will also include parental controls and will be Wi-Fi enabled.
The device will sport a 7-inch HD screen and a kid-friendly user interface. On offer will be content suitable for toddlers to pre-teens age bracket. The educational content will be adapted to the curriculum with general education, tests, and interactive quizzes. The tablets will have the School Zone apps and 200 e-books pre-loaded. Apart from educational content, the tablet will also offer 25 games and 52 discovery activities. A feature that will appeal immensely to young users will be the in-built camera with photo editing software.
Lexibook tablets will give an opportunity to children to have a tablet of their own. The tablet will enable young users to explore a plethora of educational, multimedia, and interactive apps. Time will tell if the attractive features of the Lexibook range of tablets will attract young customers successfully.
