"Attack on Titan" Season 2 telecast will start on April 1 as confirmed yesterday by Funimation following its video trailer that was released last year, though there were no other details disclosed on the popular action anime's premiere release. The trailer sees several new Titans to bring in this season, which includes a hairy one called the Beast Titan.
The long-awaited season 2 was initially confirmed to premiere last year but it was pushed back to 2017 and in December 2016, it was revealed that "Attack on Titan" Season 2 will debut sometime in April, reports IGN. Shortly after its announcement, the anime streaming service immediately released its first official trailer featuring a number of familiar faces and the new monstrous Beast Titan.
Alongside the announcement of the second season for the popular manga-based anime series, is a new piece of promo art. Meanwhile, "Attack on Titan" Season 1 has been critically acclaimed since it ended in 2013, which spawns numerous video games as well as a spinoff anime "Attack on Titan: Junior High," according to a report. Season 1 is available at this time on Crunchyroll Funimation, Hulu and Netflix.
Titans - the giant, humanoid and man-eating monsters are still pestering Shinganshina City and nobody knows where these monsters came from or why they are doing violence in the civilization. What remains of humanity is contained behind the three massive walls - Wall Maria, Wall Rose and Wall Sheena.
Protagonists Eren Yeager, his sister Mikasa and his pal Armin are making a comeback in "Attack on Titan" Season 2 and more courageous than before. The first wall has also been breached and the second wall appears to have been crossed by the Titans in the second season.
The most chilling in "Attack on Titan" Season 2 is that ‘Titans have been protecting us from other Titans this whole time'. Do you think that there are more bad things past those borders? Let us know in the comments below!
