Electronic Arts is set to release an all new game dubbed as "Star Wars: Battlefront 2" as follow up title to the first game launched back in 2015 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC platforms. In this regard, fans of the game are concerned that the original release will suffer a little support from the company.

Via an official forums post, some players of the "Star Wars: Battlefront" have expressed their apprehensions that the attention of the developer will be focused on the new game and that no new additions would be made on the original game. Specifically, fans are waiting for new perks for the Skirmish mode that can be played offline.

However, community manager Matt Everett assured that the support for the current game will continue. "Support for the current Star Wars: Battlefront is not done," he said in an earnings call via Kotaku.

Unfortunately, the most awaited Skirmish mode will never arrive in the game. "While we will not be bringing more Skirmish coming to the game, it doesn't mean nothing else is coming," he added.

With that, it is very likely that the current game will get more updates in the coming days. For those who are not aware, the original "Star Wars: Battlefront" title received mixed reviews among the "Star Wars" fanatics because it only revolved around the events of the original trilogy.

Despite that, it still attracted a massive following of loyal fans who are disappointed that the first game is getting a lesser support from the developer. But Everett assured about the support so fans will likely see more updates as well as more teases for the next Battlefront title.

"Star Wars: Battlefront 2" is said to to introduce additional heroes and characters coming from different eras of "Star Wars" universe.

"Star Wars: Battlefront" is available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. On the other hand, EA and DICE have pegged the official release date of "Star Wars: Battlefront 2" to happen around Holidays 2017..
