During its earnings call this week, AMD has confirmed a number of specific launch dates for its highly awaited Ryzen CPUs and Vega GPUs. AMD CEO Lisa Su said that the Ryzen CPU will arrive in early March, which is just about four weeks away from today.

It will likely see its SR3, SR5 and SR7 CPUs availability, which can be made up of only 4-core and 8-core parts, according to information that has leaked recently. Su was also thrilled to announce that there is going to be a widespread availability even on the first day, which is something that has hindered its sales for AMD CPUs and APUs in the previous.

Forbes reports that the motherboard manufacturers have showcased their Socket AM4 models already that seem to have similar features to the Intel-based Z270 chipset counterparts, which means that AMD should have a smooth release when it comes to hardware. The Ryzen CPUs is AMD's effort to compete with Intel in the CPU game, which Su has revealed that AMD's 60 percent revenue came from the company's GPUs, which means that there's only 40 percent came from its CPUs and the hardware that sits in Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles.

As for Vega GPUs graphics cards, AMD has also confirmed that it will be launched in the Q2 of this year, according to a report. AMD is also confident that the highly anticipated Vega GPU can outperform NVidia's top of the line GTX 1080.

The Vega GPU doesn't have much details or specifics revealed but some reports say that AMD is going to rule out a high-end 400-series launch to stand on the shoulders of the current RX 480 and move directly to a 500-series range of GPUs instead. Howbeit, the new high-resolution texture pack of "Fallout 4" listed RX 490 as its recommended GPU so it's still unknown which way AMD should take.
