Nintendo is busy as it has a lot on its cards. Its next mobile title, "Fire Emblem Heroes," is launching on Feb. 2. Then there is "Super Mario Run's" March Android release along with Nintendo Switch release. The company is also expected to increase Switch production, more than two million units slated to ship before the end of its fiscal year on March 31. It will however delay the release of "Animal Crossing" app to the next fiscal year. Nintendo has started 2017 on a high with $1.5 billion third quarter net sales.

Nintendo has also made a total of $2.8 billion for the nine months, ending Dec. 31, 2016. Nintendo Switch is releasing on March 3. The company has further reported $573.9 million in profit for the quarter. The primary reason for such impressive performance is "Pokemon GO" that bolstered the game developer's third quarter profit and also paved way for other successful Pokemon releases such as "Pokemon Sun and Moon." The two games rapidly took over Nintendo 3DS' best-selling software charts with 14.69 million units shipped, reports Forbes.

With a mega Nintendo Switch release just a month away, Nintendo has stayed away from substantial game releases for the platform during the holidays. Meanwhile, it has been reported that Mega Evolution is coming back to "Pokemon Sun and Moon" because of the Pokemon Bank update and upcoming special events. As players can now transfer their Pokemon to "Sun and Moon" from older games, they can have all the Pokemon capable of Mega Evolution.

The Pokemon Company will be holding a series of "Pokemon Sun and Moon" special events and distributions from February, and it is through these events that the company will start releasing Mega Stones, writes IBT AU.
