Nokia 6 has created quite a buzz in the smartphone kingdom as it was sold out rapid fast in China right after its release. This has caused a lot of interest in the device even outside China. However, the not-yet-released LG G6 is said to feature some amazing specs and experts believe, it won't have problems overtaking Nokia 6, at least in terms of specs and performance. While the all-metal unibody of Nokia 6 does give a premium feel, it's the glass and metal combo in LG G6 that makes it look awesome.
According to GSMArena, the Nokia 6 handset has a 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The LG G6 is expected to have a 5.7-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a screen resolution of 1440 x 2880 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It has the always-on display option and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with LG Optimus UX 6.0 UI above the OS. Nokia 6 too runs on the same OS. The greatest problem with Nokia 6 is its Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor.
The processor is too old for a 2017 smartphone, more so when compared to LG G6 handset's Snapdragon 821 chipset. The Nokia 6 has an Adreno 505 GPU whereas the other, an Adreno 530 GPU. The Nokia 6 comes with a 64GB storage option combined with a 4GB RAM and expandable microSD slot. The LG G6 is rumored to come with 64/128GB storage options and 6GB RAM. Both have the 3.5mm headphone jack, fast battery charging and fingerprint sensor. The LG G6 will come with Quick Charge 3.0.
In terms of camera specs, the Nokia 6 has a 16MP primary camera with f/2.0, phase detection autofocus and dual-LED (dual tone) flash. The LG G6 is expected to sport a dual 6 MP (29mm, f/1.8) + 16 MP (12mm, f/1.8), laser autofocus, OIS (3-axis) and LED flash. The Nokia device has an 8MP secondary compared to LG G6's 12MP secondary camera.
