LG is reportedly scrapping the modular build after a year for the upcoming LG G6 smartphone. It could be because of Motorola's stronghold on that kind of design. Moreover, the LG G6 is expected to sport a 5.7-inch display with a 9:18 aspect ratio. The display will consume 30 percent less energy and will have a screen resolution of 1,440 X 2,880 pixels. The LG handset specs have been leaked many times but there was no confirmation on how of them were correct.
According to PhoneArena, there was widespread speculation that the LG G6 smartphone will sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, However, Samsung is reportedly holding back the chipsets until it releases the Galaxy S8 flagship that will use the chipset. While LG fans expect the upcoming device to sport the best of specs, fresh reports claim that a Snapdragon 821 processor will finally make it to the LG G6. If this news has some truth to it, it is not good news for LG. In fact, it is not good news for a lot of handsets slated to use Snapdragon 835 chip.
The LG G6 smartphone is widely-anticipated to be introduced at the Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona, Spain. Other rumored specs include IP certification and non-replaceable battery. The leaked image of the handset can be checked out in this report. The leak shows the silver colored variant's upper side view. It is seen that the IM tray/microSD expansion slot is placed just below the antenna band, at the upper right side of the device. The sensors can be seen next to the earpiece and the front-facing camera is also visible.
The LG G6 is expected to be the first Android smartphone to come with the Google Assistant AI that is now available only in the Google Pixel smartphones. The LG mobile is expected to sport 64GB internal storage, upgraded dual rear cameras, selfie camera that will also function as an Iris scanner and the 3.5mm headphone jack, reports Tech Times.
