On Jan. 25, Square Enix dropped a teaser via Twitter that it will make an ‘exciting announcement' the following day and didn't reveal much or provided any details on what it's going to be. Yesterday, the "Tomb Raider" and "Final Fantasy" publisher finally revealed that it is making "Lord of Vermilion IV."

Reports say that "Lord of Vermilion IV" is expected to be released some time in summer 2017 in Japan for arcade and fans will hear more from the game at JAEPO from Feb. 10 - Feb. 12. Moreover, GameSpot also reported that Square Enix made another exciting announcement today that it's having a multi-game partnership with Marvel that will kick off with an Avenger's title.

"Lord of Vermilion IV" is a trading card game for arcade, which supports up to eight players online developed by Think Garage and distributed by Square Enix where players control combat cards on an arcade play surface. Its objective is to break the opponent team's Arcane Stones and eradicate their servants to succeed. Players also design and develop avatars, increasing their stats and acquiring equipment then compete against each other locally, online or play the single player story mode.

The upcoming arcade-based game "Lord of Vermilion IV" will also feature music by Taku Iwasaki, Yoshimasa Asao as the director, Yuichi Tanzawa as the producer and Taiki in charge of main character designs. The game would be the fourth arcade installment of "Lord of Vermilion" that has contributed more than ¥4 (Japanese Yen) billion in earnings for Square Enix since its release in June 2008.

"Lord of Vermilion II" sequel was launched on Oct. 27, 2009 in Japan followed by "Lord of Vermilion Re:2" on July 26, 2011 both featured collaborations with game franchises and series including "Romancing SaGa," "Final Fantasy," "Magic: The Gathering," "The King of Fighters," "Touhou," and "BlazBlue." The sequel "Lord of Vermillion III" was launched on Aug. 22, 2013.
