Along with the "Power Rangers" movie, the upcoming film remake will also have a mobile game tie-in. The new game titled "Power Rangers: Legacy Wars" will be a multiplayer game for iOS and Android phones.

The mobile game will be released this March and will serve as a tie-in from the Lionsgate Live-action movie itself. GameSpot reports that the mobile game will feature villains from the classic 90s TV series. However, the game's characters and designs will be based to the present movie.

"Power Rangers: Legacy Wars" is developed by nWay, whose only main work so far is the mobile hack-and-slash game, "Chromablade." The mobile adaptation isn't the only game that is released. "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" Mega Battle" launched earlier in January this year for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the PC.

According to Attack of the Fanboy, the game does offer some hints toward gameplay and the game's mechanics. The upcoming mobile game may feature one-on-one battles on iOS or Android and will allow players to have a back-up or support character to help them out on occasion.

The publication also points out that a player can take the part as Rangers or villains over different generations. Viewers can see the new movie version of the Red Ranger facing the Green Ranger from the 90s TV series. Another battle has the classic Mighty Morphin versions of Goldar and the Pink Ranger against the Blue Ranger from Power Rangers: Dino Charge.

In other news, "Power Rangers" film recently released a new trailer that shows off the character's new suits and Zords. Meanwhile, a promo shot of the characters has also been released with the cast posing on the image.

"Power Rangers" is stated to premiere on March 24, 2017 in cinemas worldwide. The 90s TV series movie adaptation will star Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa and Bryan Carson as Zordon.
