Hollywood A-lister Jennifer Lawrence recently had her account hacked by an online offender, but the latter certainly did not get away from the trouble and damage caused. The actress is apparently not the only one who fell victim to this invasion of privacy.

According to the BBC, the perpetrator, Edward Majerczyk, hacked into the account and took vital content, such as nude videos and photos. The suspect was involved in what was said to be phishing plot, which forced the victims to provide them usernames and passwords.

Majerczyk was asked to pay a certain unnamed celebrity the amount of $6200, following the alleged release of photos online. However, the Chicago culprit was not charged or even accused of selling or even posting the said photos. It was last year when Majerczyk pleaded guilty to one count of unauthorized access to a protected computer simply to acquire information.

The names of the other victims were not disclosed in the court documents, as a similar case has befallen Hollywood back in 2014. Kristen Dunst, Kate Upton and Lawrence were also leaked in multiple websites, in case called "celebgate." Lawrence then said that the offense is considered a "sex crime," as it violates those who own photos and videos. Back in October 2016, a 36-year-old man named Ryan Collins was given jail time of 18 months for the same hacking case.

Lawrence is known for her many hard-hitting Hollywood film franchises. She is arguably most notable as Katniss Everdeen in "The Hunger Games" saga, as well as playing Raven or Mystique in the "X-Men" series. Her recent work is with Chris Pratt in the space flick "Passengers."

The 29-year old Majerczyk is said to have been suffering from depression, according to Thomas Needham, his lawyer. He then said that the accused was using the hacked material for "personal use" to cope with his situation.
