Fans of "Breaking Bad" may have found themselves yelling out Jesse Pinkman's infamous catchphrase upon Aaron Paul's appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." According to the actor, who currently stars in Hulu's "The Path," he may have already landed a spot on "Better Call Saul" season 3.
"God, I hope so," Paul said when host Ellen DeGeneres asks him whether the feckless drug dealer will ever show up on "Better Call Saul" season 3. "Maybe I already shot it. We just -- or they just -- wrapped the [latest] season."
According to TVLine, Pinkman might be too young to show up in "Better Call Saul," as the show takes place before the events of "Breaking Bad." However, Pinkman could show up for "Better Call Saul" season 3's flash forwards, where Saul is known as Gene and is working at a Cinnabon.
Should this observation be true, fans will finally get the answer to what happened after Jesse chose not to kill his mentor/tormentor Walter White and then escaped the meth lab where he was being held against his will. For now, however, AMC said they do not comment on or confirm future storylines, as per EOnline's report for "Better Call Saul" season 3.
Another thing that's sure for now is that "Better Call Saul" season 3 will feature Giancarlo Esposito. Esposito will reprise his "Breaking Bad" character Gus Fring, owner of Los Pollos Hermanos and, well, meth drug kingpin. AMC announced his return in a fake commercial that actually ran in New Mexico and then brought the actor out at the 2017 TCA Winter Press Tour.
"Better Call Saul" season 3 stars Bob Odenkirk as Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman, Michael McKean as his brother Chuck McGill and Rhea Seehorn as Kim Wexler. Other cast members include Jonathan Banks as Mike Ehrmantraut, Patrick Fabian as Howard Hamlin, and Michael Mando as Nacho Varga. "Better Call Saul" returns to AMC for season 3 on April 10.
