"xXx: The Return of Xander Cage" is one of the promises that 2017 offers to many action fans alike. That being said, it merely comes as no surprise that the movie received a variety of feedback from many of those that went to see it.
According to recent reports from Forbes, "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage" earned $7.15 million last January 20, with the Thursday preview getting $1.2 million. This is only the beginning for the film, as it was said that the movie appeared in over 32 markets initially, wherein it garnered a heap-load of revenue in 53 territories respectively.
As per Variety, the Paramount Pictures and Revolution Studios continuity showed an advantage of 42 percent over "Kingsmen," 4 percent over "San Andreas" starring his action partner "The Rock" and stands on-par with "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" with the aforesaid actor as well. The mass following of its international cast is presumed to be one other factor which spelled the success of the film overseas, such as India.
$7.3 million, which also comprises of previews, was made from India alone, and Russia was not far behind with $5.5 million. France, on the other hand, made $3.1 million, with a tied spot of Mexico and Germany of $2.8 million. With a lower revenue of $2.3 million, Australia is ranked second place and Brazilian territories reached $2.2 million for third-considering that other countries are yet to receive their show dates.
Korean territories are bound to have "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage" on February 9, with China on February 10. Chinese companies Huahua Media and Shanghai Film Group are part of those backing up the film's budget, as well as the primary contribution of their own nationally acclaimed actor, Donnie Yen.
An international cast comprised of India's Deepika Padukone, Thai "Ong-Bak" star Tony Jaa and Australia's Ruby Rose put the flavor in the recently released film. It placed second at the U.S. Box Office next to M. Night Shyamalan's thriller, "Split."
