In the next "Star Wars Rebels" episode, Sabine Wren wields the legendary Darksaber. She will need to learn how to use the powerful weapon to become the new leader of the Mandalorians.

ComicBook writes that the Mandalorian member of the "Star Wars Rebels" team recently acquired the Darksaber. She will need to master the weapon if she plans to challenge the right to be the new Mandalore, the head of her people.

The Darksaber was invited by Sabine's ancestor, Tar Vizsla, who is also the first Mandalorian Jedi. After Tar Vizsla died, the Darksaber has been used to symbolize ultimate Mandalorian strength. For over a thousand years, Vizslas deemed it as a royal treasure, to be held only by the leader in "Star Wars Rebels."

In Season 3 Episode 13 of "Star Wars Rebels," titled "Trials of the Darksaber," Sabine will practice using the weapon before embarking on a great adventure for her own people. After her huge moment against the jump troopers, Sabine, Clan Wren and House Vizsla will be the focus of the story. There will allegedly be two episodes that will center on Sabine and the Mandalorians, with the upcoming one being the first.

In the official description, Sabine will attempt to recruit her people to join the rebels and reluctantly agree to learn how to use the ancient Darksaber. She will immediately discover that mastering the weapon is harder than expected.

ComingSoon wrote that in "Star Wars Rebels," the Ghost crew already set up a secret base on Atollon. The team is currently led by Ezra, a more capable leader, who has been enhancing the rebel group by getting more recruits and resources to battle the Empire.

On the contrary, Grand Admiral Thrawn also took the reins to destroy the rebellion. He is a strategic and experienced leader that poses a huge threat to the opposing force. Ezra and Sabine has to take on new roles and challenges to launch a direct assault on the Empire.

"Star Wars Rebels" will air on Jan. 21, 2017 at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on Disney XD. This "Star Wars Rebels" episode was written by Dave Filoni. More updates and details are expected soon.
