To compete with Apple Health and Google Fit, Samsung has been improving its S Health service adding the app social features for fitness gamification and now it has integrated with Fitbit, Strava, Jawbone among others. Reports claim that the tech giant is getting its hands with some partners like WebMD and Amwell to integrate their services into the S Health app.

With this, it will allow people to search for information on illnesses, symptoms and medications as well as save photos, prescriptions, rate doctors and pay them using a credit card. According to Apple Insider, some features will also let people find local pharmacies or even dial 911 without the need of switching to the phone app.

Reports say that the Samsung Galaxy 8 will be launched in February and the company is expected to debut these new S Health features with the device in the United States. Although not certain, Sam Mobile predicts that the device may get these feature upon release.

Furthermore, the Samsung Galaxy 8 is said to have two models this year: a Galaxy 8 with 5.7 inches screen and a Galaxy 8 Plus with 6.2 inches display. The device will use a combination of Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and its own Exynos chip that will depend on the carrier and region where the device is being sold and the chipset will also be backed up by up to 6 GB RAM.

The S Health is also expected to be more wide-ranging that will allow people to keep track on nutrition and get tips on fitness like workout programs such as building up to a 5K run. The app also allows people to schedule online visits to a doctor via the WebMD integration where they can get video appointments with certified doctors 24 hours a week and option to flag if the user has a medical insurance.
