"Mario Kart 8 Deluxe" is coming to the Nintendo Switch on April 28, 2017. This time, it comes with new factors, a Deluxe version, new astonishing characters, bug fixes and even the most awaited battle mode.
"Mario Kart" is a racing game where you can control and drive around crazy race courses and defeat your opponents by shooting them with banana peels, shells and other items you can pick up inside the course. Each player has a few balloons tied above its head. Every time a player has been hit, it loses a balloon. Once a player losses all the balloons in its head, they're eliminated from the race.
"Mario Kart 8 Deluxe" added brand new Battle Mode arenas, bringing back Luigi's Mansion from "Mario Kart Wii." Arena Battle Mode levels increase the fun that didn't exist in the Wii U console experience. The best part of Battle Mode is that it is playable online or wirelessly -- you can link up to four Nintendo Switch systems locally.
The game added new characters such as Princess Peach in a cat suit, Tanooki Mario, Animal Crossing villagers, Metal Mario, King Boo, Bowser Jr., Dry Bones and many more. You can have all these characters in the game's DLC updates. Along with the DLC, there more than eight new vehicles that can be unlocked, including F-Zero's Blue Falcon. A new tournament cup is also added in the update -- the TriForce Cup.
The new "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe" feature introduces the Smart Steering. It is applicable to newbie players so they can enjoy Mario Kart with auto acceleration in every race. It basically keeps the character moving forward in a trajectory phase no matter what. For pro players who want a challenge, you can easily turn Smart Steering off.
"Mario Kart 8 Deluxe" is not a new game, but it brings new features and updates that makes it continuously interesting to all the players. This will be especially so when it is available in the latest Nintendo Switch.
