While the possible boxing match between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Conor McGregor continue to gain popularity, odds for the anticipated faceoff have surfaced online. The first ever bet on the fight considers McGregor as the "long shot" between the two contenders.

Bets are in

On his Twitter page, BetOnline's Dave Mason shared his opinion on the much-hyped megafight between McGregor and Mayweather. "BetOnline.ag odds open: Mayweather -2000 McGregor +1000," he noted.

This bet means that the undefeated boxing champion is a 1-20 favorite for the match while McGregor is a 10-1 underdog. Mason noted that the first bet for the fight has already come in, which is $10 for McGregor to win $100.

Purse money demands

Just recently, Mayweather broke his silence on McGregor's demand for a $100 million purse for the match. The boxer instead offered the MMA fighter $15 plus what they will earn on pay-per-view.

Eager to make the fight happen, Mayweather questioned why McGregor is asking for such a steep purse money adding that the latter may not have even earned $8 or $9 million dollars in one fight. True enough, the biggest reported urse money of McGregor in his UFC career was $3 million when he won against Nate Diaz in August last year.

Mayweather has also expressed his anticipation for the fight saying he will show McGregor how he fights inside the boxing ring. He also added that the fight versus the MMA expert will make a lot of "business sense."

$25 million offer

UFC President Dana White has also recently offered to pay $25 million for each fighter just for them to agree on a boxing match. He also addressed Floyd saying this is an actual and real offer he is making. White also explained that they will then talk about PPV numbers aside from the $25 million purse money.
