Both Wii and Wii U come with bundled games but this is not happening on the Nintendo Switch console, which is set for release on March 3. Reggie Fils-Aime, president of Nintendo of America explained that they want to let the consumers buy whatever titles they want as there will be tons of titles launching in the coming months not to mention the holiday timing for "Super Mario Odyssey."

Fils-Aime said that they aim to launch the Nintendo Switch uniquely as the others where they started out by identifying the cost for the console as they don't want it to reach a high-level price point. He added that there are many things that they don't want to be left behind such as the Joy-Cons and several cables.

Talking to GameSpot on Jan. 13, Fils-Aime further explained that any cost higher than $300 would be too high for consumers who want to have Nintendo Switch and so they have decided to let people purchase games that they want to play. The idea seems not too bad for consumers without having them to purchase something they don't want in a bundle. "Obviously the inclusion of the two Joy-Con, critically important; all the right cables, the dock, critically important," he added.

He was also asked about the 1,2, Switch, which is a collection of games analogous with the Wii Sports bundled game that seemed to be its ideal evolution, he appeared to have acknowledged the similarities but argued that 1,2, Switch is more of a wide-ranging game. He went on to say that 1,2, Switch has a ‘wider pallet of experiences' and is more similar to Wii Play than to Wii Sports.

Moreover, retailer GameStop offers a Starter Bundle, which includes a Switch console with neon red and blue Joy-Cons plus three titles, according to Shacknews. The Nintendo Switch launch lineup is still not too clear except "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" that is confirmed to launch with the Switch.
