Xenoblade Chronicles 2: What's In Store For Avid Gamers

As expected, the 2017 Nintendo Switch presentation witnessed a slew of big announcements, while shedding more light on the Big N's upcoming hybrid console. Aside from that, there were quite a few titles including "Super Mario Odyssey" unveiled during the presentation.

But the biggest surprise came from the Japanese video game developer, Monolith Soft as they unraveled a brand spanking new trailer for "Xenoblade Chronicles 2."

The 1 minute and 40 seconds trailer for "Xenoblade Chronicles 2" suggests the upcoming game will not bring the original "Xenoblade Chronicles" to a grinding halt but will be a continuation of its prequel instead. Interestingly, though, the upcoming game seems to feature a new cast. The trailer does not hint at any characters from the aboriginal titles reprising their appearance in the new game, Game Rant reported.

Monolith Soft's upcoming game is expected to be a visual marvel featuring an array of awe-inspiring landscapes that are clearly ahead of their time. But that's not all; the game is likely to feature a variety of bizarre creatures as well.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Release Date: When Is The Game Arriving

The previous entry in the "Xenoblade Chronicles" series was released back 2013 for Wii but later ported to Nintendo 3DS. A spiritual successor entitled, "Xenoblade Chronicles X" was released for Wii U in 2015, Polygon reported.

Regrettably, there is no release date associated with the "Xenoblade Chronicles 2" at the moment and Monolith Soft has kept their lips sealed regarding when the title will hit the store shelves.
