Has your smartphone device been draining battery a lot recently? Or does it heats up more than usual even if you're not using it? If yes, you are not alone, chances are your smartphone have been affected by the Facebook Messenger app bug. According to a report by International Business Times, this bug has been fixed.

The report stated that people went to the internet to complain about the glitch as some are reporting that as much as one percent of their battery is lost every minute. One user said, "I was down 20% at 8am. Got up at 7am and checked my email." While other complained about their phones getting hot, "It was draining my battery really bad and phone was getting hot. Had to delete them," one user on Reddit said.

Facebook's vice president of messaging products David Marcus acknowledged the issue and posted on Twitter and said that the issue was isolated on the server side and they have resolved the problem. A way to fix the problem if users are still experiencing the glitch is to restart the app itself and it should be resolved automatically.

Additionally, Marcus stated that people who are using the beta version of the Facebook messenger app should switch to using the normal version as the beta always have less optimization by nature.

According to other news, the problem was related to an issue with Facebook's servers and no update is required to fix the problem.
