Apple lately released their Airpods packed with Bluetooth ear buds together with its portable handy charging case. This enables a simple tap setup that easily always connects into your iPhone, Apple Watch, Mac and iPad.
The case design only for charging the pods but still they didn't build it a dock to charge the case. In order to lessen this troublesome charging procedure, Josh Butts, a known user of Thingiverse, made a 3D printed dock where the its lightning cable slips into the bottom of the 3D printed dock for better charging.
In other 3D innovation news, a polish 3D printer maker Zortrax are auctioning a 3D printed superhero icon to hike funds for a certain foundation Wielka Orkiestea Swiatecznej which means Big Orchestra of Christmas Help; targeting to contribute medical equipment's for children and new born babies. The 3D printed parts of Zortrax M200 machine has 200 available products that weighs 55kg and has a height of 200cm.
General Electric (GE) has currently gained Concept Laser and Arcam has claimed that they will invest $10 million over the next five years. This said investment will help to produce 3D printers for educational purposes. They are now beginning to take applications from all educational institutions around the world.
GE investment was divided into two; elementary and high schools also open to all devoted Universities and colleges. This will grant priorities to advocate STEM education, allotted with $2 million investment to cdevelop polymer desktop printers for all schools and $8 million to produce up to 50 metal manufacturing machines. All invested 3D printers is expected to arrive this 2017.
GE Company is currently applying 3D printing in their aerospace industry; technology is also being advised for amateur desires such as Tom Stanton who has 3D printed a remote-controlled plane.
