The much awaited "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy" could release sooner than fans expected if the latest leaks have to be believed. The said launch will likely clash with another Sony-backed PS4 exclusive action RPG, "Horizon Zero Dawn".
Express UK reports that courtesy of a Brazilian retailer, "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy" is leaked to launch on February 28 at a price of. £44 or roughly $53.57 US dollars. The report noted, however, of the said release date clashing with another PS4 title, "Horizon Zero Dawn".
This circumstance of two PS4 titles getting the same release date appear rather quite and it cast doubts to many players. But the report further shed light on this.
It pointed out that even if "Horizon Zero Dawn" will hit shelves on February 28 in North America, Crash will be available in Europe and South America on March 1. Despite that the difference is merely a day, it indicates a separate launching for either games in the US and other nearby North American regions.
In addition, it is also worth noting that the leaked release date on February 28 coincide with a reported games listing for the "Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy". Games retailer VPD.fi based in Finland listed the upcoming remastered collection to arrive on exactly the same day next month.
But then again, it is a retailer's placeholder date. Fans are advised to wait for Sony to officially make the announcement and hopefully, soon.
Meanwihile, given the hype amassed among fans ahead of the remastered collection of the series, speculations are rife that an entirely new Crash title is in the offing. More often than not, a successful release of a remastered game could spur a sequel or new entry to the franchise.
"Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy" is a remastered collection for exclusive release on PS4 under the belt of Activision. It is developed by the team behind the success of titles "Skylanders" and "Vicarious Visions".
