The much-awaited "Tekken 7" may not be released this coming February as what recent reports claimed. Game developer Bandai Namco said the product listing posted online just needed to have a release date for it to be published and does not reflect the real release period of the game.
Leaked release date
Swedish retailer Komplett indicated on their website that "Tekken 7" will be available starting February 12 for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The retailer even claimed that the release date was provided to them by the supplier of the title.
Bandai Namco clarifies
However, Bandai Namco's product manager for Tekken 7 Andreas Juliusson mentioned in a Reddit discussion that the date indicated on Komplett's website was not official. "It's just a limitation in their system which forces an upcoming product on their website to have a release date in order to get published... Why they chose the 12th of February is unclear, but that date is not true. They will shortly change it to '2017' only," he explained.
Juliusson, however, said that they are set to announce the release date of "Tekken 7" this January. He advised fans and gamers to be a little more patient.
Game features
When it comes out this year, "Tekken 7" is expected to introduce new features for gamers including the Rage Arts which makes the game more exciting. Aside from this, players can also expect better camera shots, slow-motion action clips and even special moves from the characters.
Apart from these, the game will also have more than 30 playable characters including those much-awaited by fans. Every character will be armed with unique moves and martial arts combinations for players to use and enjoy.
There is also said to be a cross-over with Street Fighter character Akuma which will take the character into a 3D setup complete with fireballs. Are you excited with the release of "Tekken 7?"
