The "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise will be adding yet another instalment this year. The official title of the fifth film, which is reportedly going to have a much darker premise, is "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales."

To date, film makers have managed to keep much about the movie under wraps. However, when the trailer was officially released to the public, the synopsis that came with it revealed the name of Jack Sparrow's new ship.

It was stated in the said synopsis, which can be seen on Comic Book, that Jack's new ship will be called Dying Gull and even described it as a "pitiful, small and shabby ship." This new ship sounds to be the exact opposite of the ship that Jack has gotten used to, the Black Pearl.

According to the synopsis, Johnny Depp's character will be facing trouble in the form of Captain Salazer, played by Javier Bardem. Salazer is the Captain of a ship filled with deadly ghost sailors, and they are all hell-bent on killing every pirate they find - especially Jack.

The only way for Jack to even have a chance against him is to retrieve the Trident of Poseidon. To do that, he will have to forge an alliance with Carina Smyth, played by Kaya Scodelario, and Henry, played by Brenton Thwaites.

"Pirates of the Caribbean 5" is the first movie ever since the franchise's last one in 2011, "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides." The four previous films earned $1.2 billion domestically and $3.7 billion on the worldwide box office.

"Pirates of the Caribbean 5" will be hitting big screens on May 26, 2017, together with "Baywatch." As pointed out by Movie Web, this somehow sets up a Memorial day weekend showdown for two films that come from famous franchises.
