"Outlander" Season 3 spoilers are hinting on an emotional finale ahead. In a recent Q&A with the show's writer, Matthew Roberts on Twitter, it was revealed that the show may veer from Diana Gabaldon's third book entitled "Voyager," reports Movie Pilot.

The writer explained that changing some scenes of the book is necessary because of the complexity of the book. Roberts reassured, however, that in "Outlander" Season 3, the show will end with a "super exciting and spine-tingling" scene, which will leave fans "weeping."

While fans may grow wary of this hint, Roberts hinted that this may be an emotional yet happy scene. The writer stated that fans may be weeping "tears of joy" by the end of "Outlander" Season 3.

The publication notes that the end of Gabaldon's book features the most awaited reunion between Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe). This may explain why Balfe and Heughan previously shared that they have already begun production, but they have never filmed a scene together yet.

This means that fans and viewers may not see Jamie and Claire together till the end of "Outlander" Season 3. Balfe reassured fans via an interview with TheWrap that the reunion scene between them will definitely take place.

According to Balfe, the reunion scene between hers and Heughan's characters were "filmed really beautifully" for "Outlander" Season 3. This will be Jamie and Claire's first reunion since they parted ways for 20 years in order to save their daughter, Brianna.
