KickassTorrents, often abbreviated to KAT, has now resurrected with the help of its original team behind the hugely successful site that also promises that they're here to stay.

The torrent website was considered as the world's largest illegal movie and music sharing site which was then shut by the United States law enforcement earlier this year. It has over one million visitors every day. Indeed, it was the most popular file sharing site which enables its users to conveniently share video, music and other various file types with people across the globe thru peer-to-peer sharing.

But Artem Vaulin, the KickassTorrents founder, was arrested in Poland on July 21, 2016 and following the arrest, access to all KickassTorrents domains were blocked. With his site's popularity over the years, it was estimated to worth some $54 million, with a range of $12.5 million to $22.3 million for its estimated annual advertising avenue. Plenty of the clone websites emerged online since the KickassTorrents' closure.

As per the official statement from Assistant Attorney General Leslie Caldwell of the US Department of Justice, Vaulin allegedly depended on servers located in different countries worldwide and moved his domains because of repeated civil lawsuits and seizures. All to escape from law enforcement, however, his arrest has proven that cybercriminals can run but can't hide from justice.

The original members of the KickassTorrents were reportedly the ones who have revived the site hoping that they will be able to avoid the problems that led to the original site's shutdown. The new site's appearance is identical with its predecessor.

But the newly revamped site goes online with an altered DMCA takedown procedure. This claims the site itself doesn't any copyrighted material on their servers and a cleaner user database, as what TorrentFreak reported.

Apparently, the staff who returned was not really the intial creators of the original KickassTorrents; however, note that they have clearly managed to gather enough data to remake its predecessor. On a side note, check the video below to know how to browse Torrent properly.
