Carrying a huge data around just got a lot easier. US-based flash memory manufacturer, Kingston has taken the wraps off what the company touts as world's highest capacity USB flash drived ubbed as the DataTraveler Ultimate GT Flash.

The USB flash drive was unveiled at CES 2017 at Las Vegas just recently. The device is a whale of a flash drive offering a whopping 2TB of storage. Another storage variant of the flash drive offers 1TB of storage capacity.

DataTraveler Ultimate GT Flash Release Date

DataTraveler Ultimate GT flash drive is scheduled to hit the store shelves in February; however, Kingston has kept the price tags of the two variants i.e. 1TB and 2TB storage capacity flash drives under wraps.

The DataTraveler Ultimate GT flash drive offers impressive read/write performance, the company suggests. Moreover, the USB 3.1 Gen 1 compatible flash drive will be housed in a zinc-alloy metal body that safeguards the device from shock, according to Gadgets360.

Jean Wong, business manager at Kingston claims the DataTraveler Ultimate GT increases users' data storage mobility in quite a manageable form factor. Furthermore, the imminent follow-up to the company's 1TB drive released in 2013 directly doubles the capacity, thus allowing users to store and carry a comparatively larger amount of data without breaking a sweat.
