Elevation Lab, a Portland Oregon-based company, created the DraftTable, an ergonomic stand designed specifically for the Apple iPad Pro, according to a report by Geeky-gadgets. It is now available for $99 with free shipping in the US.
As Elevation Lab explains, there are existing stands for the smaller iPads that are just not compatible with the 12.9-inch iPad Pro; flimsy, no adjustment and bothersome to use. The company wanted a stand that's more like a traditional drafters table that is comfortable to use. With the DraftTable, users can adjust to any position they want with its wide angle adjustment. It also fits iPad Minis with virtually any case.
Use the DraftTable, the iPad Pro and an Apple Pencil, it's perfect for digital artists, photographers and other creative work.
According to Cult of Mac, The DraftTable comes with its own armrest that allows the user to rest their arm to comfortably draw, and a pencil stand that has a suction-lock to any desk that people may use. The DraftTable has spring-loaded hinges that locks for each adjusted angle making the device sturdy to work with.
Casey Hopkins, Founder of Elevation Lab, stated, "We wanted something better, designed from the ground up for working on iPad Pro, so you can use it to its full potential."
Elevation Lab began as a firm that helped other companies create better products and in 2011 started its own product line mostly for Apple devices. The iPhone Dock was its first product for Apple and also the NightStand which is a charging station for Apple Watches. The Anchor, a headphone storage that attaches to the bottom of a desk with an adhesive hook, was also created by Elevation Lab.
