Every year all the giant tech companies meet to showcase their new flagships and introduce to the gadget and tech community innovations that are sure to put their brands on top of the competition. But the 2017 CES Vegas has a seemingly different vibe as it is believed that enough room is created for tech startups to outshine the giants at their own games.

Although it may be true that the CES 2017 in Vegas is still a game that tech giants will probably dominate, more and more startups are actually casting the limelight on their own products and away from top brands. Quite a number of tech startups are said to join this year's Vegas CES 2017.

Scale-1 Portal, one of the tech startups that will be joining the CES Vegas 2017 will be introducing a virtual reality technology that does not use VR headsets or headgears. According to company president, Emmanuel Icart, the headset less VR will be a better version of virtual reality as users can move freely in their environment without the wires that conventional VR headsets today have.

Though Amazon may not be considered as a tech startup, it will play that role in CES 2017. Amazon will battle it out against Microsoft and Google for the top virtual assistant to be showcased in the 2017 CES. Experts put Amazon as leading the battle, however, there are still not enough information as to what Microsoft had done to its Cortana or what Google virtual assistant will be seen in the Las Vegas CES.

A French startup, Bixi is said to introduce innovations on gesture controls. A lot of tech giants are said to be intrigued with the gesture control technology and incorporating such in their products. Bixi is said to unveil its final design of a gadget that will allow users to actually control their mobile devices with just the wave of a hand.
