"Dragon Quest XI" has been kept in a locked chest for quite some time now and gamers are already itching to know details about this game. Think of how recent reveals sent ripples of uproar from the gaming community, foremost among them is question about how far "Dragon Quest XI" have been developed.

Blame it on developers for teasing well-polished snippets of "Dragon Quest XI" and thank the insistent gaming public. Producer Yosuke Saito was pushed in a corner where he eventually revealed details about the game in terms of development. Saito-san fed juicy details during 4Gamers interview that centers on "Dragon Quest XI."

It appears that gamers are in not just for the ride but its colleague "NieR: Automata" as well. Saito stressed that both games are on the final stretch of polishing and will soon hit the road in 2017. While he did not give any confirmed date, Saito said that "Dragon Quest XI" is looming for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch release.

Come to think of it, predecessor "Dragon Quest X" is already a 5-year old game - indicative of the need to launch a follow-up as soon as possible, Dual Shockers reported. Yes, the upcoming iteration has reached its climax stage so all that needs to be done are trials and polishing, Saito hinted. He also joked that he is on the brink of collapsing too many times but he will not relax unless "Dragon Quest XI" is finally running on consoles.

So with available details at hand, its time to predict potential launch date for "Dragon Quest XI." Saito himself made an in-passing remark that the game may serve as culminating highlight of franchise's 30th anniversary. If so, this could point to May 27, 2017. Again, this is a simple educated guess based on the development cycle of the whole franchise and keeping our fingers crossed will not hurt anyway.
