PlayStation 4 software will be having major upgrades - that is the promise of Sony producers for 2017. Teasing fun, entertaining, fresh and ambitious games, Shuhei Yoshida wants next year to be a revolution for the Sony gaming console. He is claiming it - calling 2017 as the "Year of PS4 Software."
Playstation 4 hardware has definitely provided better experience for the recent updates and versions of it. The Sony exec now tells fans that there is a need to match the smashing capabilities of the hardware with spectacular apps and games dealt with the Playstation software. In 4Gamer's traditional yearend mass interview, the folks at Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Studio are revealed to have been working endlessly to give gamers surprises for the coming year.
There are still no details provided by the producers or any of the Sony staff present in the event but "Bloodborne" producer Teruyuki Toriyama stated that the studio is currently pitching some incredible concepts and ambitious titles for new games in the upcoming year. He also asked fans to support Sony for the year ahead.
Another "Bloodborne" producer Masaaki Yamagiwa explained that they are working behind the scenes right after "Bloodborne" was released. He even added that he hopes that what they are working on right now will be seen by fans ASAP.
While definitely a busy year is headed for 2017, "Gravity Rush" director Keiichiro Toyama gives fans something to think about. Apparently, "Gravity Rush 2" is in the works and after its launch, a new project is coming.
Shuhei Yoshida of Sony then said that 2016 has been the year of upgrades for Playstation gaming console. With the emergence of PlayStation 4 Pro, PS4 Slim and PlayStation VR, he said he has set his eyes on providing "amazing software" for gamers.
