"Vanderpump Rules" Season 5 episode 8 was eventful because aside from the wedding preparation of Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney, Jax Taylor was also at the center due to urgent surgery. James Kennedy was also in the picture as he tries to get back his job at the SUR.

Moreover, Lala Kent did not show up at the airport when Tom Sandoval did his best to plan Ariana Madix's birthday vacation. Lisa Vanderpump also has her own catty moment when she told Katie that the women in SUR are getting into trouble because of Stassi Schroeder.

Katie emptied her savings just for her custom tea towels that cost $18.00 each. She will use this as wedding invitations and Tom does not like the idea but he will go with it. Katie finished putting twine on the towels, putting them in boxes and finally having them delivered to guests.

Later, the bride-to-be Katie went to Lisa and showed her the invitation. The SUR owner looks perplexed as she looks at the bundle, then tried her best not to laugh.

This was also the time when she Lisa blamed Stassi for creating friction among the friends in SUR. However, Katie does not agree and she thinks Scheana is the one bringing trouble.

James visits Lisa

Lisa fired James Kennedy because of his unacceptable behavior. "Vanderpump Rules" recap also include scenes when Lala, together with Tom and Ariana, visited James in his new gig. The DJ was still so hung up about being fired by Lisa but thank his friends for dropping by to see him.

Afterward, James wants to get his job back in SUR so he talked to Lisa. His former boss told him that there in no chance that she will hire him again because she already knows how obnoxious he is.

According to US Weekly, Lisa told James, "You were an arrogant little punk. And look at me. Do I look like somebody who employs an arrogant little punk?"

Finally, on the last episode of "Vanderpump Rules," Jax Taylor had to go under the knife to remove cysts that formed in his chest. It was revealed that the lumps were caused by Taylor's years of taking bodybuilding supplements.
