Many iOS users have used the screenshot feature built into the OS often and many of them do not know of it at all, but this feature was totally in control of Apple and no other app was given the permission to take a single screenshot in any other way before iOS Display Recorder appeared.

Many adventurous users have jailbroken their devices and used other solutions from Cydia, but this is the first time an app with a similar feature has made it to the App Store. The name of this app is Display Recorder. It is the same name as the app in Cydia which offers the same feature. The app is released by Bugun Software. With this app, a user will be able to record anything on his iOS running display and export it to camera roll or even YouTube.

It is not sure how long this app will exist in the App Store as there are already people complaining against the app, because it uses the same name as the unofficial one. This includes Ryan Petrich, who is the developer of the original Cydia app called Display Recorder. The quality of this app is not very high. The reason behind this quality might be the technology used to capture the videos. This app probably takes a series of screenshot to compile a video. Apple never allowed any screenshot app into the App Store, so it will be interesting to see if they allow this app to exist. Till now this app is available at least in the US and the Canadian App Store. This app will cost $1.99 and there is no need to say that the app is for a limited time only. The iOS users who want to record their display, but are not interested in taking the risk of jailbreaking their lovely devices can now go to the App Store and download this app immediately.
