After the announcement that "One Punch Man" season 2 has gotten a green light, the fans and followers of the anime satire are already very excited for the upcoming season. A second season is not the only thing to be excited about, as Anime News Network reports that a mobile phone app is in the works as well.

Shingo Natsume's first run for "One Punch Man" aired in Japan from October to December 2015, with a total of 12 episodes. The anime first reached English speaking audiences on July 16, 2015 via Adult Swim's Toonami block.

The last episode for "One Punch Man" first season, entitled "The Strongest Hero," showcased the impressive and seemingly endless power of Saitama. However, "One Punch Man" season 2 spoilers reveal that it might not be the case with the new season. Saitama's weakness might be explored in season 2, and although it will not be a total downfall for the hero, it will be a different storyline from what the followers witnessed in the first season.

While Lord Boros has been suspected to be one of the main enemies that Saitama will face in the sequel, other possible villains have been named as well. One of the possible villains that Saitama might face in the sequel is Amai Mask.

At first, Amai Mask may seem to be friendly and fall on the good side in the beginning. However, he might reveal a darker side as the story progresses and pose a big threat to Saitama's journey.

However, there are also "One Punch Man" season 2 spoilers contradicting Saitama's possible downfall. If the original manga is to be followed, the story will continue with "The King Arc."

Fans are expecting the sequel to be released in October 2017, which will mark the two year mark since the first season was aired. As of writing, "One Punch Man" season 2 air date remains to be announced.
