Fans of "The Walking Dead" season 7 were horrified to witness the death of Glenn and Abraham. In a way, the horrible fate of the two characters shouldn't have come as a surprise to the viewers considering that the teasers and promos were blatant enough to hint that someone was going to die.

Now that season 7 is on a mid-season hiatus, the fans are wondering what could be waiting for them on the other side of the looking glass. Will there be another death among the main characters? How long before Negan turns into psycho mode and go on a torture-killing spree once again?

According to reports, the morbid expectations of "The Walking Dead" season 7 viewers might have to be put on hold as "TWD" showrunners tease that the second half will be very different from what has been accustomed to. How drastic will the changes be? Will Negan turn from main antagonist to protagonist?

"The Walking Dead" season 7 spoilers have not been very specific on what might happen when the series returns to the small screen. The last "TWD" aired episode generally fell on the bland category with an effort to rectify the monotonous flow of the series after the highly dramatic and morbid premiere episode.

Scott Gimple, one of the head showrunners of "The Walking Dead" has reportedly promised that the remaining eight episodes will be very different and will offer more variety. What does that mean? Perhaps it could mean that the storyline will not only focus on Negan and his unquenchable thirst to kill.

The variety and difference that Scott Gimple might be talking about might have something to do with the other characters, who have their own potential storyline and backstories. Minor characters might be handpicked and given an exposure in "TWD" series which might eventually have a major repercussion on the storyline as a whole.

Don't forget to catch "The Walking Dead" season 7 episode 9 on February 12 on AMC. In the meantime, watch the upcoming episode trailer and mid-season finale clip below.
