2016 is closing and it is another year to hope for top mobile games, including the much-anticipated "Super Mario Run" which is confirmed to invade android smartphones in 2017.
"Super Mario Run" was able to unleash on iOS with flying colors amidst mixed reception on paid version. Some hate "Super Mario Run" for sheer reason that they don't want to shell out $10 for app purchase. Those on Android doesn't necessarily hate but covet the game and envy those on iOS.
According to sources, "Super Mario Run" decided to invade the smaller concentration of gamers in iOS instead of Android due to avoidance of piracy. Yes, Nintendo is so secluded with their system that is somewhat hard for pirates to dissect. "Super Mario Run" is just another game they want to extend their security clout on.
At any rate, Nintendo seems to be able to place everything within desirable Android security atmosphere. It is no less than company president Takeshi Mikishima himself that confirmed "Super Mario Run" coming soon in an interview with Kyoto-NP. Finally, Android gamers are going to have their thirst quenched.
Here is another worthy thought coming off from this "Super Mario Run" interview; is there a chance for other exclusive franchise to go off Nintendo ward as well? Since "Super Mario Run" is experimental for the company and one of few instances where they allow top games to go overboard. Retro Gaming Magazine thought of "The Legend of Zelda" and "Metroid" as worthy candidates for non-Nintendo devices.
Lastly, it is interesting to know what will happen to tons of "Super Mario Run" clones proliferating around Android once the original invades. Remember that the quick fix for "Super Mario Run" clamor on Android is to simply go for these clones. But then again, a copy-cat can never be as good as the original, even if it has that $10 app purchase weakness.
