Huawei fans rejoice. A new colored variant for the popular high-end flagship Huawei Mate 9 has just been made available: the Obsidian Black.
The new colored variant, according to the report from Xiaomi Today, will give the handset a more professional business look. And by the looks of it, seems like this will become a huge success, considering that some consumers actually prefer to own a black colored smartphone for many various reasons - two of which are the prevention of fingerprints showing up on the case and dirt becomes less visible.
Huawei Mate 9 Obsidian Black specifications and price
As reported by GSM Arena, the Huawei Mate 9 Obsidian Black variant is similar to other models in all aspects, particularly the market price and its specifications.
The phone comes with a 5.9-inch IPS LCD screen with 373 PPI (Pixels Per Inch) and full HD screen resolution, which is commonly known and referred to as 1080p. It comes with a dual 20MP (Megapixels) + 12MP camera setup for its main (or the back) and an 8MP front-facing snapper.
Under its hood, the Huawei Mate 9 is going to run using the company's in-house built System on Chip (SoC), the Kirin 970, and it is supported by 4GB of Random Access Memory (RAM) with 32GB of storage capacity - as the standard model.
The phone also runs on Android's latest operating system version, the Android 7.0 Nougat, right off the bat and it is powered up by a rather large battery capacity of 4,000mAh (milliampere per hour).
The price for the Huawei Mate 9 Obsidian Black will, of course, vary depending on the model that the consumer will choose. It was reported on Xiaomi Today that prices for the model will start at 3,399 Yuan (roughly around $489) for the 4GB/32GB model (RAM/Storage), 3,899 Yuan ($561) for the 4GB/64GB, and 4,499 Yuan ($647) for the premium 6GB/128GB version.
Other colored variants for the Huawei Mate 9 includes Champagne Gold, Mocha Gold, Ceramic White, Silver Moonlight, and Sky Gray.
