Apple's Worldwide Developer Conference starts Monday, June 11, and the company is holding a keynote at 10AM PDT. It is expected to preview iOS 6, and possibly unveil a new line of MacBook Pros and/or the iPhone 5, and builds are reportedly waiting to go live.

A post on Chinese forum WeiPhone.com claimed to have the official download links for the beta version of the OS. The links aren't active as of writing, and said "Your session has expired" when clicking the links. MacRumors reported that altering the URL for a different build number - the leaked links cover number 10A531K - results in "Access denied."

The post also claims Apple won't support the original iPad and the third-generation iPod Touch, perhaps due to increased hardware requirements. However there is support for the iPhone 3GS, which Apple continues to market as a budget iPhone device.

There are no links for OS X Mountain Lion, which should again be previewed.

In terms of what can be expected from the conference, iOS 6 is the most definite. Aside from Facebook integration and a Google Maps rival, little is known about the next major version of "The world's most advanced operating system."

With the iPhone 5 rumored to be using a 4-inch screen, the added real estate could mean Apple refreshes the operating system beyond the grid-based format. Apple has used the same UI since launching the iPhone in 2007, iterating on features such as notifications. Android allows its users to customize and skin the operating system, and some fans feel it presents the more attractive aesthetic despite using the grid-based app layout.

There's also the question of whether Apple will give users more control over the OS, even in functionality such as moving multiple icons or setting third-party apps as default.

Outside of iOS, OS X Mountain Lion could continue to show the convergence of iOS and Mac OS X as Apple looks to create a consistent feel across its devices. New MacBook models could also feature, which are rumored to feature a Retina display and a thin MacBook Air-esque form factor (and therefore no optical drive).
