Mojang and BETHESDA team up for the Fallout and Minecraft crossover this holiday season. The Fallout-Minecraft mashup is a special update for this holiday season. The Christmas update will be available for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3, Playstation Vita and Wii U DLC.
The new update is complete with new skins, blocks, items and some changes to The End dimension. It includes 44 new skins which are based on characters like Fawkes, Nick Valentine, Tinker Tom, Paladin Cross, Jangles the Moon Monkey and Vault Boy according to Express The soundtrack also features tunes from the Fallout series.
Here are the new features added to the Minecraft Christmas update according to Windows Central and Express:
- New mobs: Shulker, Skeleton Trap Horses, Stray Skeleton and Husk Zombie
- New blocks: Chorus Plant, Chorus Flower, Dragon Head, Purpur Block, Purpur Pillar, Purpur Slab, Purpur Stairs, End Rod, End Gateway
- New items: Chorus Fruit, Dragon's Breath, Elytra, End Crystal, Lingering Potion, Water Splash Potion, Popped Chorus Fruit, Potion of Luck, Tipped Arrow; Spruce, Birch, Jungle, Acacia and Dark Oak Boats
- New status effects: Levitation and Luck
- The End dimension changes: End Cities and End Ship
- Crafting: UI updated to allow crafting of fireworks
- Brewing: now includes a slot for Blaze Powder
- Tutorial: new Tutorial world, includes tutorial for Banners and Elytra
- Flying is coming to the Console Editions
The Minecraft-Fallout crossover is not the first Fallout crossover that has been launched.Express reported that earlier this month, Zen studios has revealed that Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, Doom tables and Fallout 4 were coming to its pinball game.
You can now get the Merry Bundle which includes the Festive Mash-Up Pack, Skin Pack and Battle Map for $7. If you'd rather roam a wasteland instead, the new Fallout Mash-Up pack is also available for $6.
