HTC has just unveiled a teaser invite this December 20 containing the tag line "for U" and the tech and gadget community has been restless in determining what surprises does the Taiwanese tech company have up in its sleeves.
The "for U" teaser has the 01.12.2017 underneath the letter U. The scheduled date of the announcement couldn't have been more opportune as it is right after the CES Week. The handpicked date could be HTC's way to avoid the busy CES week and to bring all the spotlight to whatever new device it will introduce to the anticipating crowd.
Since the scheduled release of the company's next mid-range smartphone, the HTC X10, is on January pundits are quick to point out that the company may unveil the new smartphone in the scheduled, January 12 event. However, the unveiling of the mid-range smartphone may not only be the one in store especially since HTC has already started the hype game this early.
Expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU and 8gb of RAM, the HTC 11 has packed more than enough power under its hood to challenge the top echelon of the smartphone industry. The new smartphone will also have 256gb of inbuilt storage and will also come with Adreno GPU for enhanced graphic performance.
HTC remained to be tightlipped as to the details of the teaser invite. With the January 12 event is drawing closer, the company may provide additional information about the event.
With the CES week happening earlier, HTC may have to compete with the hustle and bustle of the tech event. Yet, making the announcement at a separate date may just be a stroke of genius from the tech company to put into center stage its 2017 roster of new devices.
