"Supernatural" Season 12 spoilers reveal that Dean (Jensen Ackles) will forget his brother, Sam (Jared Padalecki). In a recent interview with executive producer Andrew Dabb, he confirmed with TVLine that the rumors about a de-aged Dean are true.

Dabb explained that in "Supernatural" Season 12, Dean will gradually lose his memories because he has been going through a lot of issues in the past. Therefore, in the upcoming episodes, viewers will see a "more fun and childlike" version of Dean.

This seemingly shifts the focus back to Sam and Dean in "Supernatural" Season 12, as Buddy TV notes that the first half of the season focused on Mary's return. The publication also notes that there seems to be the lack of a major villain during the first half of the season.

"Supernatural" Season 12 recently returned to its "monster-of-the-week" theme in every episode, which left many hoping to see a major villain appear in the second half of the season. Dabb also told the aforementioned publication that there will be several returning characters in the upcoming episodes.

Dabb shared that they are building up both the British and American hunters in "Supernatural" Season 12. It remains to be seen, however, whether Bobby (Jim Beaver) will be appearing in the forthcoming episodes of the show.

"Supernatural" Season 12 returns on Jan. 26 on The CW.
