Mid-range smartphone HTC X9 was released December of 2015 and no successor has been announced, until now. According to ubergizmo, HTC X10 is reportedly to be announced in January 2017.

The Consumer Electronics Show 2017 will be held next month in Las Vegas; therefore, Taiwanese tech company HTC might use this opportunity to unveil the new HTC X10. Personally, I think HTC is a great smartphone manufacturer. In fact, I am using HTC M8 right now and I never really encountered major problems with it. Their design of smartphones has always been top notch.

According to phonearena, the new HTC X10 will reportedly have a 5.5 inch full HD display with 1080 x 1920 resolution, same as its predecessor. Additionally, its chipset will be MediaTek Helio P10 Soc and will be powered by a CPU of octa-core 2GHz with Cortex-A53 cores. Its GPU meanwhile, will be Mali-T860 clocked at 700Mhz. No word yet if it will feature a fingerprint scanner.

HTC X10 will also include 3GB of RAM and will sport a 13MP rear-facing camera with OIS, while the front camera has not yet been disclosed as of the time of this writing. The specs featured in here aren't the most impressing compared to other flagship smartphones, but it is only a mid-ranger therefore it will suffice with a reported $288 price tag.

Fans of HTC, me being one of them, are excited to see the actual design and specs of the HTC X10. People are just going to have to wait until next year to see if they will upgrade to the new phone or stick to their HTC X9. What do you think of HTC X10? Write and share your comments below.
