Masashi Kishimoto attended the recently conducted Jump Festa event held at Japan on December 17, 2016. He exposed controversial information regarding the future sequel of his Naruto series, "Boruto: Naruto Next Generation."

Kishimoto is the original creator and mastermind behind the famous anime series "Naruto." During the Jump Festa 2016, he represented his very own series and announced a couple of details as to what the fans should anticipate for the future years of the said series.

One of his important announcements had something to do with the planned sequel of the series. Kishimoto titled it "Boruto: Naruto Next Generation" because the main protagonist named Boruto was actually the son of Naruto Uzumaki and Hinata Hyuuga. According to a trailer of the sequel that Crunchyroll streamed, Boruto is considered as one "who inherits the Will of Fire in the next generation."

On the other hand, fans who have long been shipping Sasuke and Sakura went overly happy over the upcoming "Boruto" series. That is for the reason that Sasuke and Sakura are married in the sequel. They even have their own child who will be playing an important role in the series.

Fans were already thinking that, after the downfall of Toneri and Kaguya, the ninjas were already settled with the arrival of the age of peace. When Kishimoto came to announce that there will be bigger and stronger villains in the sequel, everything just became more interesting for them.

But the most interesting announcement that Kishimoto brought about during the festival was the information that he himself will be an essential part of the production. All the same, he still did not clarify what kind of role he will be taking as contribution to the production of the said series. Kishimoto assured the avid fans that "Boruto: Naruto Next Generation" series will be better than "Naruto."

"Boruto: Naruto Next Generation" will star Junko Takeuchi, Ryuichi Kijima, Kokoro Kikuchi and Yuko Sanpei as Naruto Uzumaki, Mitsuki, Sarada Uchiha, and Boruto Uzumaki respectively. The sequel is said to be aired on TV Tokyo starting April, spring of 2017.
