Pokemon Go remains to be one of the top games of the year and is poised to maintain its lead as Niantic drop several updates to make the game more fun and exciting.

The December 12 Pokemon Go update added several new Pokemons in the game. Though Niantic has hinted that other updates are underway, Niantic remains to be quiet as to the extent of the update and whether new Pokemons will still be introduced in the incoming days. As far as what is presently known, the December 12 update added the limited edition Pikachu (the one with the Santa hat) and a bunch of baby Pokemons.

Where to Find Baby Pokemon

The new baby Pokemons added in the game cannot be caught in the wild and may only be hatched from eggs. This means players are again forced to walk in order to complete their Pokedex.

Though hatching eggs in Pokemon Go remains to be random, keen observation will actually allow a player to predict what Pokemons will hatch from certain eggs.

There are three types of Pokemon Go eggs which can only be obtained at random in PokeStops. The different eggs represent the distances that players should cover in order to hatch the eggs. A maximum of 9 eggs is allowed for each player to carry at any given time.

What Eggs Contain the Baby Pokemon

Igglypuff and Cleffa are the easiest among the baby Pokemons to obtain as they can be hatched from 2km eggs. Magby, Elekid and Smoochum requires the farthest walking distance as they are hatched from 10km egg while Togepi and Ichu are hatched from 5km eggs.

There is no surefire way to determine what Pokemon will hatch from each type of egg. However, knowing what eggs to carry is quite useful especially if you only want to hatch those baby Pokemons that does not require 10km walk.
