This latest Huawei model has a 5.9-inch AMOLED screen with 1,080 x 1,920 pixels. It is larger than the display of Galaxy Note 7.

Also, Mate 9 runs with Kirin 960 processor. This is said to be the highest-performing mobile chipset in the world of smartphones. "The GPU boasts a 180-percent performance uplift and a 40 percent improvement in energy efficiency compared to its predecessor." Huawei mentioned in its launch.

Huawei has partnered with Leica in order to deliver a 20-megapixel camera technology. This camera has a Bayer filter which organizes light based on green, red, and blue streams before it can hit its sensor. With this technology, it has a very high light sensitivity. This helps in gaining quality images.

Meanwhile, Huawei Company is said to have some difficulties in finding an official carrier partner to reach the United States. Hence, there are expectations that their newest model might hit retailers unlocked. Also, there is no official announcement for its price.
