The first trailer of Spider-Man: Homecoming is set to be released later this week. But before that, below is an exciting teaser video that showcases the new Spider-Man's upgraded costume.
In the 15-second teaser video of Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man (Tom Holland) gets a boost from a fellow Avenger. It was shot mostly from Peter Parker's (Spider-Man) point of view, but also showed Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau) pointing out a case with a higher-tech outfit than the one Parker has been wearing. It was revealed then that Tony Stark (Iron Man) has given Parker a minor upgrade. The upgraded costume includes something not yet seen on any cinematic Spider-Man --- the teenager's web slinger exhibiting similar wings under his arm, named as the web wings, Yahoo reported.
The web wings have been a trademark of Spider-Man costumes for years, which ultimately diminishes in size before completely disappearing. This has never been applied to any of Spider-Man's look on Spider-Man movies before. This webbing will help Spider-Man, not really to fly, but to glide through the air. He will likely need it when facing the villain, Vulture (Michael Keaton) and become even more high-flying than usual.
Tom Holland made his debut as the new live-action Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War over the summer. Fans and critics had a devastatingly positive feedback about his portrayal, even though he was only technically shown in two scenes. Thus, Spider-Man: Homecoming continues to gain high expectations from fans and critics, according to MOVIEWEB.
Oscar nominee Michael Keaton, as well as Bokeem Woodbine, Zendaya, Martin Starr, Logan Marshall-Green, Angourie Rice, Donald Glover, Tony Revolori, Hannibal Buress, Robert Downey Jr., Marisa Tomei, and Jon Favreau are officially casted in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Jon Favreau will appear in the movie as a classic Marvel character and makes him the second Iron Man actor in a web slinger feature, following behind Robert Downey Jr.
Nonetheless, Hogan's role and how he will fit in the story is still questionable since there are no further details about it yet; although, it's tremendously uncertain he won't be by Tony Stark's side. The upcoming movie is directed by Jon Watts, swinging into theaters on July 7, 2017.
