"The Man in the High Castle" Season 2 showed a little hint of the castle dweller in the latest trailer. This second season is hinted to reveal about what the country's future is. Latest spoilers revealed that Tagomi will be discovering the unexpected between two worlds and Juliana seeks a safer place for her.
The first season of "The Man in the High Castle" had a lot of questions after it ended. In the latest trailer for the second season, it is clearly shown as to how divided the world is. There are those who rule the world with their own power.
The award-winning Amazon series, based on the Philip K. Dick novel, gives a parallel reality where the Third Reich won World War II. And it's clear the Nazis are still the dominating force in this alternate world.
According to the executive producer, Frank Spotnitz, he alluded the idea that the world of High Castle could extend far and beyond the Third Reich or Pacific States in the upcoming season.
"There are glimpses of what's going on with the rest of the planet in the first season," Spotnitz told Den of Geek. "There are so many issues to explore and it is science fiction so the reason to tell the story is to reflect back on the world we live in right now."
Amazon also spilled more details about the second season of the alternative history drama series.
According to a report by Entertainment Weekly, season 2 will reveal where Tagomi ended up in season 1 finale.
He "traveled to our world's version of 1962, where Japan and Germany lost WWII," according to Amazon.
"As Tagomi attempts to make sense of his experience, he discovers connections between the two worlds that he never expected." It's true, Tagomi did leave this world. "It wasn't a dream if that's what you're asking," executive producer, Isa Dick Hackett said.
Moreover, Juliana heads to the Greater Reich embassy in San Francisco with the Kempeitai hot on her heels. She tells the Nazis that she is an ally of Joe and needs asylum.
"She's no longer safe," one of the cast, Alexa Davalos told EW after the panel. "She's wanted by just about everybody. She's seeking asylum in the only place she can. Whether that be a good choice or not, that's happening."
"It's quite a big storyline," Hackett previously said during an interview. "One of the things that we will get into which we didn't last season is meeting the Man in the High Castle. That's a big piece of a character that we didn't get to last season."
"The Man in the High Castle" season 2 debuts Dec. 16 on Amazon Prime Video.
