"Moonlight Drawn By Clouds" lead actor Park Bo Gum is confirmed to be hosting the "KBS Drama Awards" again and has also been confirmed to be the MC for the 2016 KBS Gayo Daejun.

This year's KBS Drama Awards will take place on Dec. 31 at the KBS Hall in Yeouido. Awards will be presented to actors and actresses who have shown outstanding performance in KBS dramas.

Candidates for awards include Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo from "Descendants of the Sun," Kim Woo-bin and Suzy from "Uncontrollably Fond," Park Bo-gum and Kim Yoo-jung from "Moonlight Drawn by Clouds," Park Shin-yang from "Neighborhood lawyer Jo Deul-ho."

The 23-year-old Park had been one of the hosts for the awards ceremony in 2015. He was also an emcee for KBS2' live music program "Music Bank" for 13 months until this January, along with K-pop group Red Velvet's Irene.

It was previously announced that the 23-year-old actor would host the KBS Drama Awards this year alongside MC Jeon Hyun-moo. The female host for the "2016 KBS Drama Awards" was not yet determined before in which fans reportedly request KBS to have Red Velvet's Irene take the spot.

According to some fans, Park Bo Gum and Irene has a palpable chemistry as hosts on-stage and they would certainly make a great tandem alongside Jeon Hyun-moo on the awards ceremony.

However, Girl group AOA member Seolhyun will join actor Park Bo-gum and co-host the upcoming "2016 KBS Song Festival," her agency announced Friday.

"Seolhyun has been confirmed to emcee the Song Festival (2016 KBS Gayo Daejun).She will be joining Park, who was confirmed to host on Wednesday," a source at FNC Entertainment said.

The "2016 KBS Gayo Daejun" will take place on Dec. 29, but the location is yet to be announced.

In another news, Park Bo Gum's popularity has increased exceedingly shortly after his appearance as the crown prince of the KBS drama historical romance drama series "Moonlight Drawn by Clouds". The actor is set to have his Asia fan tour starting next month.

He will kick off his tour in Malaysia and then travel to Hong Kong, Indonesia, Taiwan, Japan, Thailand, Singapore and China, according to his agency, Blossom Entertainment. The tour will wrap up with a fan meeting in South Korea before the end of the year.

"The upcoming fan meetings will be a special occasion for Park Bo-gum to hold proper meetings with his fans not only at home but also across Asia," the agency said. "They will be made up of various programs through which Park and his fans can talk and enjoy themselves."

The KBS period drama "Moonlight Drawn by Clouds" starring Park Bo Gum and Kim Yoo Jung, ended last month after recording viewership ratings above 20 percent.
