Niantic Labs has now launched its second event for "Pokémon GO" today, which will coincide with Thanksgiving.

The week long event started Nov. 23 and will run until Nov. 30, according to Forbes. The Thanksgiving event will earn you double the experience the whole week, so if you are trying to catch up, then this event is the perfect time to start. Here are some tips and tricks on how to get out there and make the most out of this special event.

Maximizing Your Lucky Eggs

Lucky Eggs will give you four times the exp this week instead of the normal double exp boost. Here are some tips on how to maximize your quadruple exp this week.

Earning Tons Of EXP Using Lucky Eggs + Incense + Lure Module Combo

The most effective way to boost your exp gain is to get to a Pokéstop with a Lure Module active (or just use one if you have it in your inventory) and activate your Lucky Egg and Incense at the same time.

This will spawn tons of Pokémon, netting you a whopping 400 exp per catch this week! Visiting a Pokéstop will earn you 200 exp as well, instead of the usual 50. Make sure you have tons of Pokéballs in stock, or your Lucky Egg will go to waste.

Earning EXP Through Mass Evolution

If you have tons of Pokémon waiting to be evolved before this event, and if you have tons of candy, then you're in luck! This trick requires you to evolve as many Pokémon as you can in thirty minutes, while the Lucky Egg is active.

The easiest and the most economical Pokémon to evolve is Pidgey. Remember, Pidgey will net you 400 exp this week, and will give you 3 Pidgey candies everytime. Pidgeys need only 12 candies to evolve, and evolving one will give you a huge boost of 2000 exp all throughout the week.

Bonus: Check each Pidgey you catch because one of them may be a Ditto in disguise! Tons of people have already reported tons of Dittos hiding in 2k and 5k tier Pokémon, so you might chance upon the elusive mon while Pidgey hunting.

Enjoy the Thanksgiving event, and stay tuned for more "Pokémon GO" news.
